Australia's leading chain of quality bookshops selects eb20 Platform for push into digital books

Ahead of the major Online Information Conference in London this week, Dymocks Booksellers announced today that it has partnered with Ebooks Corporation to deliver a wide range of digital books to its online customers in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The move is part of Dymocks’ strategy of delivering a multi-channel, multi-platform digital service to its millions of loyal customers. The service was launched at a gala event in Sydney last month.

eb20 is a browser-based online ebook platform that combines ease of use with strong anti-piracy measures. Until now, strong copy-protection has meant a clumsy and complicated end-user experience.

Visitors to the Dymocks website can now

  • Choose to buy either a traditional printed book or the digital version (ebooks and audible products)
  • Download the entire book to their computer or hand-held device, and read it whether or not they're connected to the internet
  • Access the ebook from any computer that's connected to the internet
  • Search the entire contents of their book, make margin notes, highlight passages of text, book-mark pages, copy-and-paste text, and more.
